CNN —An arrest warrant has been issued for Buffalo Bills linebacker Von Miller, who has been accused of assaulting a pregnant woman, the Dallas Police Department said in a statement to CNN on Thursday. A police spokesperson told CNN the arrest warrant is active, meaning Miller is not currently in custody. Police said a preliminary investigation determined Miller and the woman had a verbal argument and that Miller allegedly assaulted her. “This morning, we were made aware of an incident involving Von Miller,” the Bills said in a statement. WBD had no comment when asked about the arrest warrant.

CNN —A suspect has been arrested after the former assistant to the Duchess of York was found dead in a Dallas apartment earlier this week, officials said. Officers responded Monday afternoon to a home in downtown Dallas where they found Jenean Chapman, 46, had died, according to the Dallas Police Department. Chapman worked as an assistant for the duchess, Sarah Ferguson, years ago, Ferguson said in a social media post. Jenean Chapman, 46. Dallas police did not outline any motive in the case and did not say whether Chapman and the suspect knew one another or had any relationship.

Strange occurrences involving resident animals at the Dallas Zoo are being investigated by local police. Two small monkeys that went missing from the Dallas Zoo were found inside a closet in an abandoned home, the latest in a string of mysterious incidents at the zoo this month. The Dallas Police Department said Tuesday that it received a tip that the emperor tamarin monkeys were inside a home in Lancaster, Texas, a city roughly 16 miles south of Dallas. Police said the place was empty except for the monkeys. No arrests have been made.
An endangered vulture was found dead at the Dallas Zoo over the weekend with an "unusual wound," facility officials said Monday — the third suspicious incident there in less than two weeks. A Dallas, Texas, man has been arrested, accused of fatally shooting a 21-year-old woman after she beat him at a game of basketball, police and the victim's family say. Cameron Hogg, 31, was arrested Thursday and charged with murder in connection with the fatal Oct. 3 shooting of Asia Womack, 21, the Dallas Police Department announced.
